The Dam Battlegrounds map in ARC Raiders might not be as dangerous as some other places in the game, but finding your way around can still be tricky. The quests don’t always tell you exactly where you need to go. The good news is that some quests like Broken Monument help you out a bit. When you get close enough to the right spot, the quest will give you hints about which direction to move.
You need to collect three different items to finish the Broken Monument quest. Just finding the boxes and looking at them won’t work. You actually have to pick up each item and carry it with you. Otherwise the quest won’t count as done.
Also remember that these items can disappear if you leave them on there place for too long. I learned this the hard way in my first try. As i thought i could come back for one of them after dropping off some other loot i found. When i went back, the item was gone. So grab these quest items right away when you find them.
The first thing you need to grab is a compass. Look at the Scrapyard logo and find the spot just below where the text is written. There’s a hidden box stuck between rows of vehicles that are all crammed together really tight. You’ll need to climb over some destroyed vehicles to get there. Once you make it to the middle area, you can pick up the compass.
The second item is a video tape. This one sits right underneath the Scrapyard logo itself. You’ll spot another box next to two big cylindrical things lying on the ground. Just walk past one of those huge round tanks in the area and you’ll see it.
This section also has a lot of good mechanical loot lying around and if you are using a free budget loadout, you’re going to get annoyed pretty fast. As you won’t have enough space in your inventory to carry everything you want.
The last item you’ll need is called old field rations and will be inside an old raider camp trailer. You’ll need to go into the structure and look on to the left side to get the item.
This final quest location is pretty far from any of the dangerous ARC enemies, which is nice. But there’s a catch. You can’t just collect these items and forget about them. You have to stay alive and personally deliver them to someone named Tien Wen. Because of that, most players will want to extract from the map right after getting all three items. If you decide to stick around and do other things, you need to be really careful. One wrong move and you could lose everything.
The whole quest gets easier once you know where to look. The Dam Battlegrounds might be safer than other maps, but getting lost or having items disappear can waste a lot of your time. Plan your route, grab the items quickly, and get out safely. That’s the best way to handle Broken Monument without any headaches.
