US President Donald Trump on Friday (March 6) said that leading American defence companies have agreed to dramatically increase the production of advanced weapons as the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to escalate. According to Trump, the companies have committed to quadrupling the output of what he described as “exquisite” military systems.
Posting on Truth Social on the seventh day of the war with Tehran, the US president wrote that “The largest US Defense Manufacturing Companies” have “agreed to quadruple Production of the ‘Exquisite Class’ Weaponry.” The announcement comes as Washington looks to strengthen its military capabilities during the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
Trump said he had a “very good meeting” with the heads of several major defence manufacturers where production levels and future manufacturing schedules were discussed. The companies involved in the meeting included BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Missile Solutions, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.
“They have agreed to quadruple production of the “Exquisite Class” weaponry in that we want to reach, as rapidly as possible, the highest levels of quantity,” he said.
The term Exquisite Class Weaponry generally refers to highly sophisticated, precision-guided military systems. Trump noted that efforts to expand production had actually begun about three months before the meeting, meaning the ramp-up started well before the United States and Israel launched joint “preemptive” strikes against Iran. Washington refers to the campaign as Operation Epic Fury, while Israel calls its operation Lion’s Roar.

Despite concerns raised by some military officials about declining ammunition stockpiles due to the ongoing war, Trump maintained that the United States has a “virtually unlimited supply” of Medium and Upper Medium Grade Munitions.
According to the president, these types of weapons have already been used in recent military operations, including strikes targeting Iran and Venezuela.
Even while highlighting the scale of existing supplies, Trump said that the United States has “also increased Orders at these levels” and claimed that “States all over the Country are bidding for these new plants.”
He also said that another meeting with the chief executives of the defence companies is scheduled in two months to review progress on the production expansion.
